Pregnancy is a major event in a woman’s life and wise decisions during this time will help aid in the ultimate goal of healthy outcomes for both mom and baby. We encourage you to schedule a preconceptual counseling appointment prior to conception, especially if you may be considering pregnancy for the first time.
As soon as you think you may be pregnant, (after you miss your period), take a home pregnancy test to determine pregnancy. If your test is positive, please call the office so that we may schedule you an appointment as soon as possible. We have registered nurses available during normal office hours to answer any of your questions or concerns you may have before your first appointment. If you have had problems with previous pregnancies we encourage you to make an appointment to discuss future pregnancy desires. We prefer that you start prenatal vitamins a few months before trying to conceive if possible.
Pregnancy is such an exciting time in your life we try to include the father and any siblings in your care as much as possible. Feel free to bring any family members with you to your appointments.
Occasionally your primary physician may get called to an unexpected emergency at the hospital, or a delivery during office hours and our nurse practitioner will be happy to see you. This will prevent you from having to reschedule your appointment or have to wait for your primary physician to return.
Please feel free to check out the many pregnancy related topics available to you on our website. You many also read about all the staff employed in our office, and search any available links we have provided.
